What is Project BHOST ?
Introduction
Project BHOST its a VR First Person Shooter where your reflex and decision ability plays a fundamental role. Dodge and knock out lots of enemies to win !
The game is avaliable for VR headshet users, especially those that have Oculus HMDs.
NOTE: The game was only tested in Oculus Rift S, they can be minor problems with other HMDs.
Context
Thanks to technology improvements, the military forces of an unknown country developt The Project BHOST, a plan that "transport" a human mind to an android, capable of mirror all the movements that his owner want. This robots are known as "BHOSTs" (Ghost robots), and due to his warlike purpose, they are armed.
You are an unexperienced soldier completing your BHOST training. In this game your objective is to finish the basic session.
Gamerules
Actions
The player can make 3 principal actions:
Move
You can move around your real physic space or you can use the hybrid teleporter (you can see how the robot move to the desired place)
Shoot
The robot has a plasma cannon in its right arm. To use it, you have to close your hand and make it a fist.
You can charge your shot, making the bullet bigger and more powerful but, watch out! you have to keep an eye on the gun overheat!
Protect
The robot has an energy shield on its left wrist. To use them, the player have to activate it. You can use it to defend yourself of the enemies attacks.
HUD
In addition, the robot has a small interface in its right wrist. It shows the player state with 2 bars:
Health
Blue bar that represents the current health of the player. If it falls to 0, the training restart.
Overheat
The plasma cannon its terribly powerful, but has a limitation: you can't trigger it so much or you will overheat it. If the cannon is overheated, it can't be used for a period of time.
Helmet
To make the player more present and a better inmersive experience, you have a cool helmet too!

About the game
This game was my first VR project with the only objective to learn about programming VR games. This demo it's a college project and was made in June 2021. You can check my other projects here

- All the SFX was edited by me, but the originals fonts were from OpenGameArt and FreeSound.
- Enemy 3D model: Sofía de Vega Giménez.
- Assets: Generic Unity3D tools.
